Joyfully Reviewed review of Jade Falconer's "The Best Laid Plans"

Cassie said:
"I enjoyed "The Best Laid Plans" for several reasons. One thing I liked was that the story was set during the Depression, which is a time period I have rarely read about. The time period made the kidnapping angle more believable, as a lot of people were probably driven to desperate acts during that time. I also liked naïve, sheltered rich boy William, whose exposure to the world was very minimal. His innocent responses to John, the surprisingly kind kidnapper, were sweet. The love scenes were well-written, and I found myself really sympathizing with both men. Several issues were dealt with too quickly and easily, but overall "The Best Laid Plans" was an enjoyable read."
